Chapter 4: Menu reference

Regions

A region is a defined access control area having doors acting as boundaries.
Regions are used by the following functions:
Areas set and unset
Anti-passback functions to keep track of users.
High security function to allow users in the region under high security users
(HSU) supervision.
To define a region in a CDC4, follow these steps in Downloader:
1. Click the Regions item on the Panel programming form to open the Regions
list.
2. On the Panel programming form, click the New button in the toolbar to add a
new region record.
3. Enter a name for the region in the Record name field.
4. Enter a description for the region in the Record description field.
Note:
Region 1 is an outside region. It cannot be changed.
