Product overview

This manual includes an overview of the product and detailed instructions
explaining how to install your CDC4 Door Controller and program it.
This manual is intended for use only by trained installation and configuration
technicians. To use this document effectively, you should have the following
minimum qualifications:
Basic knowledge of alarm systems and components
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and low-voltage electrical connections
Read these instructions and all ancillary documentation entirely before installing
or operating this product.
Up to 12X CDC4 can be connected to an Advisor Advanced panel system data
bus.
Caution:
Ensure that there are door controllers of only one type (CDC4 or
ATS125x) installed on the system bus, to avoid any configuration conflicts.
CDC4 has two local data buses to connect readers for doors, keypads, and
expanders.
Caution:
The heatsink on the device board may be hot. Do not touch. Take
appropriate precautions if working on an active or recently de-powered device.
The fuses on the device board may be very hot if they are in the tripped state or
close to tripping. Do not touch.
The customer is responsible for testing and determining the suitability of this
product for specific applications. The customer is responsible for testing the
product at least once every three months.
