Operating modes

The door controller can be configured in the following ways depending on your
current system and access requirements:
Standard mode: The door controller only communicates with the control
panel.
Extended mode: In this mode, management software has a direct IP
connection to CDC4.
Note:
The operating mode can only be set for all connected door controllers
during the initial installation of the Advisor Advanced panel. See Advisor
Advanced ATSx500A(-IP) Installation and Programming Manual for more
information.
The limits for users and other entities vary according to the operating mode, as
shown in Table 6 below.

The modes are described in more detail in the following sections.
Standard mode
Standard mode can be used for direct upgrade of ATS125x four-door controller
with minimal changes. In addition to access control, CDC4 provides alarm control
functionality in conjunction with an Advisor Advanced panel.
CDC4 is polled as an expander on the first Advisor Advanced system bus.
