Defaulting the door controller

You may want to perform a "default" to reset CDC4 to its factory default state and
erase all programming.
To default CDC4:
1. Remove power to CDC4 and wait for all LEDs to turn off.
2. Fit test link 1 (Figure 12 on page 13, item 35) and repower the system. The
heart beat LED (Figure 12 on page 13, item 17) illuminates for about
20 seconds, flashes quickly for about 20 seconds to indicate reset mode, and
then flashes slowly to indicate normal mode.
Note: CDC4 can only be defaulted in the 20-second interval when the heart
beat LED is flashing quickly (in reset mode). CDC4 returns to normal mode
automatically to help protect against accidental reset.
3. Remove test link 1 when the Heart Beat LED is flashing quickly to default
CDC4.
4. Using the control panel keypad, go to Expander settings and run the
Synchronize command to synchronize expander settings between the door
controller and the control panel.
5. Using Downloader, download the expander data to the door expander.
Note: During defaulting procedure onboard outputs can activate for a few
seconds.
Caution: Defaulting door controller is required after each address or working
mode change.
