To install PC card support

This section explains how to install PC card support if you did not do so during the
OS/2 Warp installation.
Requirements
OmniBook 2000/5700 with OS/2 Warp 4.0 installed.
OS/2 Warp installation CD-ROM.
An internal CD-ROM, attached SCSI CD-ROM drive, or networked CD-ROM is
necessary if you are using the Installation CD.
OmniBook 2000/5700 driver for PC card support.

1. Restart the OmniBook.
2. Open OS/2 System, System Setup, then Install/Remove.
3. Double-click on Selective Install (not Selective Install For Networking).
4. Click Multimedia Support, Remove, then OK.
5. Click Next, then click PCMCIA Support.
6. In the PCMCIA Support Window, select Ambra TS30AS. If PCMCIA hard disks or
FLASH cards will be used, check the appropriate options, then click OK.
7. Click Next twice.
8. Enter the correct location of the OS/2 Warp CD-ROM drive and the OS/2
installation directory, then click Install.
9. After files are copied, click OK.
10. Open an OS/2 window.
11. Type: E: C:\CONFIG.SYS
12. Change the line: BASEDEV=IBM2MAT1.SYS /SO=2 to:
BASEDEV=SS2PCIC2.SYS /SO=2
13. Save and exit the file.
14. Copy the file SS2PCIC2.sys into the \OS2 directory.
15. Shut down and restart the OmniBook.
