Installing Windows 95
To install PC card support
Requirements
OmniBook 800 with Windows 95 installed.
HP OmniBook driver for PC card support.
Location: OmniBook hard drive or on Recovery CD in
\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\WIN95\PCCARD\950AONLY
1. From Control Panel, double-click System.
2. Click Device Manager.
3. Remove all entries under PCMCIA socket, then click OK.
4. Close System Properties.
5. Copy all .VDX files from the directory of the PC card driver to
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.
6. Copy all .INF files from directory of the PC card driver to
C:\WINDOWS\INF.
7. Answer Yes to overwrite the old .INF files with the new .INF files.
8. Click Start, then Run and type:
REGEDIT C:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\WIN95\PCCARD\950AONLY\PCMCIA.REG
9. When you see a message that the registry has successfully been updated, click
OK.
10. Shut down and restart Windows 95.
