Docking System Features

The F1189B docking system has these features:
Replicated ports
XGA-out.
Parallel port: 25-pin bi-directional EPP and ECP.
Serial port: 9-pin, 115,200-bps RS-232.
PS/2 keyboard and mouse connectors (separate).
AC adapter.
SCSI-2.
MIDI/Joystick.
Stereo-in, stereo-out, microphone-in (includes switch to disable
OmniBook speakers when docked).
Docking
Motorized VCR style.
Supports hot-docking Plug and Play under Windows 95.
Expansion slots
Two full-length ISA cards or one full-length ISA card and one full-length
PCI card.
Easy access by user, no tools required.
Convenience
Full access to notebook's PC card slots while docked.
3 degree tilt feet.
No additional software required for the docking system.
Indicators - Hard drive activity, Floppy drive activity, Password enabled,
Power, Unit docked.
Controls.
Power: Suspends OmniBook, turns on OmniBook, turn off OmniBook by
pressing Ctrl-Alt-Power button. (Note: Cannot undock the OmniBook
when it is off if an undock password is set).
Undock: initiates undock process.
System reset: cold resets the OmniBook.
Security
Secure, motorized connection to HP OmniBook.
Kensington lock slot (also manual eject switch).
Optional user-defined password to undock.
Power
AC adapter port provides power to the docking system.
Docking system comes bundled with 60-watt AC adapter that
automatically charges the OmniBook 2000/5700's internal batteries
(F1140A).
Monitor stand
Integrated; supports up 65 lb. or 35 kg.
Riser stand
Raises dock above an external keyboard, providing access to notebook.
