VA L VE GU IDE REP LACEMENT
Support the cylinder head and drive out the guide
from the valve port.
NOTE
When driving out the valve guide, be careful
not to damage the head.
Install a new valve guide from the top of the head.
NOTE
Inspect the valve guide tor damage.
Ream the new valve guides after installation.
NOTE
Use cutting oil on the reamer during this oper·
ation.
Rotate the reamer in the cutting direction
while inserting and removing it.
Reface the valve seat (Page 6·141.
Clean the cylinder head thoroughly to remove any
metal particles.
