GENERAL
•
Some wires
have
different colored
ba
nds
around them
near
the
connector. These
are
connected to
other with
correspond-
ing
band
colors.
•
All
plastic plugs
have
locking
labs
that must
be released before
disconnecting,
and
must be aligned
when
reconnecting.
•
Isolate an e lectrical
failur
e,
check the
continu
ity
of
the electrical
path through
the part.
A
continuity check
can
usually be
made without removing the part
from the
motorcycle
-
by
si
mply
d
isconnectmg the wires
and
connecting a continuity
tester or voltmeter to the terminals or connections.
