Hold the fork slider in a vise with soft jaws or a
shop towel.
Remove the bottom socket bolt.
CAUTION
I
Do not distort the fork slider in
Q
vise.
Remove the piston and rebound spring, then sepa-
rate the slider and fork tube.
'84:
Remove the dust seal, foam washer, plastic washer
and circlip.
After '84:
Remove the dust seal and circlip.
Remove the oil seal and back-up ring.
NOTE
Avoid damaging the inner and outer surfaces
of the fork slider when removing the oil seal.
