Press START.
The display prompts you to enter the time at which the document
is to be polled (e.g. 17:30).

After entering the time, the display will show the operating mode
with the time programmed for polling.
The fax machine is now programmed to receive a document at
17:30 from the remote fax with the number 780249.
For a description of what happens at the moment of transmission,
see the following chart.

HOW A POLLED DOCUMENT IS RECEIVED

If the remote party has inserted the document in his/her fax machine, the party who made the polling
request will receive the document at the preset time.
Example:
This example considers the reception of a document programmed for polling at 17:30.

The polling request has been programmed. The machine displays the
operating mode and the programmed polling time (e.g. 17:30).

At the preset time, the fax machine will dial the number of the
remote machine (e.g. 780249). A message is displayed to this
effect.

After dialling the number, the machine establishes the
connection. The display shows the remote fax number or, if
programmed, the name associated with the number.
The document is then transmitted.
After receipt of the document the display will show the message
"RX COMPLETED" for a few seconds before returning to the
operating mode display.
IF...
the transmission report function is selected (see the section
REPORTS), the machine will print out a report after the
relative display message.
the document is not transmitted, this may be because the
remote party failed to insert it in the remote fax machine. The
display will show an error message to this effect.
