AUTOMATIC SHEET FEEDER ADJUSTMENT
The automatic sheet feeder (ASF) may be adjusted in accordance with the paper size to be used. The
feeder is supplied preset to use A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) but may be modified to use US Letter (216 x
272 mm) and US Legal (216 x 349 mm) sizes.
When you load paper for the printing of received and copied documents, it is important that you pay
attention to the following three factors, that must always correspond to guarantee correct functioning of the
fax machine:
•
The format of the paper, that is the width of the paper being used.
•
The format of the feeder cassette, that is the distance between the internal sides.
•
The printing format, that is the value of the SIZE parameter in the PRINTER PARAMET. menu (See
Printing Parameters in the SET-UP PARAMETERS section).

Remove the sheet feeder.

Remove the sheet feeder cover by levering with a coin
on its side supports (fig. A). Release the internal sides at
the bottom with the coin (fig. B). Check that the sheet
feeder is set for the paper size you intend to use: on the
inner guides (1) for A4; on the outer guides (2) for the
LETTER and LEGAL sizes.

Refit the cover and insert the sheet feeder in its housing;
flip open the cover and insert sheets of the required size
(max. 70).
4.
Close the cover of the sheet feeder and complete the remaining preliminary operations.
