6. In the wire tray, first label, and then detach all six wire connectors
(four are for the temperature limiters, and two are for the wires to
the element terminals). See Figure 120.
7. Carefully clip the wire tie on the harness to release the wires. Be
careful not to cut any wires (see Figure 120).
8. To replace the microswitch do the following:
a. [If not replacing a microswitch]: Skip this step and go to
step 9.
b. Detach the microswitch wire connectors in the wire tray, and
then remove and retain the two screws on the microswitch
(see Figure 121).
c. Replace the microswitch if needed.

9. To replace the glass heating element, do the following:
a. If you haven't already performed step 3, then remove the
frame and then remove the element gasket now (see Element
Gasket and Frame – Removal and Replacement, page 69).
b. Set the glass element assembly back down and carefully
guide the element terminal wires through the receptacle when
lifting the element off of the housing (see Figure 122).
