1. Follow all safety precautions and steps in Preparing the Range for
Servicing, page 25.
2. Remove all trays from the oven.
3. Remove oven door (see Oven Door Removal, Installation,
page 110).
4. Remove and retain the two screws that secure the ends of the
element onto the cavity (see Figure 207).
5. While supporting the element with one hand, use the other hand
to detach the element from the seven tabs on the broil reflector
plate (see Figure 207), and then gently pull the element out
enough so that the wire connectors pass through the portal on the
oven cavity.
6. Detach the wire connectors from the two ends of the element.
NOTE: Make sure the wire connectors remain inside the cavity
after you detach them, so that when reinstalling, you won't have to
gain access to the back of the range in order to retrieve the wire
connectors.
7. While supporting the broil reflector plate with one hand, remove
and retain the eight screws holding the broil reflector plate onto
the cavity, and then remove the plate (see Figure 208).
