6. Pull to detach the bake element wire connectors (see Figure 215),
and move the wire harness to the side, away from the tray.
7. Remove and retain the two screws from the bracket located over
the tray (see Figure 215), and then remove the bracket (see
Figure 216).

8. Pull the bake element tray out. You may have to press the right
and left corners downward a bit so that the element brackets can
clear the gap (see Figure 217).

Alternatively, instead of pulling the bake element tray out, you can
remove and retain the screw on each of the two element brackets
to release the element (see Figure 218, page 119), and then pull
out only the element (see Figure 219, page 119).
9. When reinstalling, the bake element wire should be routed
beneath the insulation to protect it from heat.
