Craft Ethernet communications with NETCONF equipment have these requirements:
A SSH client must be used.
TCP port 22 must be open.
Password authentication is required.
The craft Ethernet port has a fixed IP address (169.254.0.1) and is isolated from the DCN
ports. It is not user configurable. The craft Ethernet port can be used for local management
connections and to configure the node's IP address from its default settings through a
CLI connection.
The TCX1000-RDM20 IP address is hosted by the DCN 0 and DCN 1 Ethernet ports.
To set the IP address for DCN 0 and DCN 1 Ethernet ports:
Establish an SSH connection, using port 22, between the craft Ethernet port and the
1.
management platform.
Launch a suitable SSH client interface (PuTTY is used in the example below).
2.
Select Session from the connection category list. The Basic connection options display.
3.
Enter the fixed IP address of the craft Ethernet port: 169.254.0.1.
4.
Select SSH as the connection type.
