This chapter introduces spectrum analyzer's functions and
usage by examples. Detailed contents are as follows:

4.1 Measurement of Continuous-wave
Signal
One of the most common tasks of spectrum analyzer is to
measure frequency and amplitude of signal. In the following
example, continuous-wave signal (300MHz, -10dBm)
generated by signal generator (Agilent E4421B) as signal to
be measured.
Operation steps:
1. Connect equipment
Connect signal output of signal generator with RF input of
UTS1000 Spectrum Analyzer.
2. Set parameters
1 Reset instrument
- Press
PRESET
key;
2 Set parameters
- Press
FREQ
key;
- Press [Center frequency] key, and input 300Mhz;
- Press
SPAN
key;
- Press [Span] and input 2MHz;
3 Measure frequency and amplitude by using marker
- Press
