3.3.2.2 [Full span]
Set spectrum analyzer in center frequency/span mode, and
set span as maximum value.
3.3.2.3 [Zero span]
Set span as 0. By this time, both start frequency and stop
frequency equal to center frequency, horizontal axis is as
time axis. That spectrum analyzer measures is time-domain
characteristics of amplitude at input signal's corresponding
frequency point, which is beneficial for observing signal at
time domain, especially for observing modulation signal.
3.3.2.4 [Previous span]
Get spectrum analyzer back to span previously selected.
3.3.3
AMP
Set parameters related with amplitude of spectrum analyzer.
By adjusting these parameters, measured signal can be
displayed in current window in a certain manner which is
easy for observation and is able to minimize measurement
errors.
3.3.3.1 [Reference level]
Activate reference level function. Set max. power or
voltage that can be displayed in current window.
Notes:
The maximum value of reference level able to be set is
affected by max. mixing level, input attenuation and pre-
amplifier. When adjust reference level, adjust attenuation
always on the condition that max. mixing level keeps
unchanged, so as to satisfy inequality:
L Ref
a RF
a PA
L mi
L Ref, a RF, a PA and L m i x respectively means:
reference level, input attenuation, pre-amplifier and
max. mixing level.
You can use number keys, knob and direction keys
to revise this parameter.
Reference level is on the top of coordinate grid. The
accuracy of signal measured is relatively good at the
position which is close to reference level position,
however, amplitude of input signal shall not be higher
than reference level during measurement; if level of
measured signal is higher than reference level, signal
