the front panel of spectrum analyzer.
2. Use difference function of marker to conduct
measurement
1) Reset instrument
- Press
PRESET
key.
2) Set parameters
- Press
FREQ
key;
- Press [Start frequency] key, and input 200MHz;
- Press [Stop frequency] key, and input 1GHz. At this
moment, you can clearly see signal's fundamental harmonic,
second harmonic and third harmonic.
3) Use PEAK and MARKER to conduct
measurement.
- Press Peak key, spectrum analyzer executes peak
search, one marker is automatically activated and such
marker is marked at fundamental harmonic, frequency is
300MHz, amplitude is -10dBm;
- Press MARKER key;
- Press [Difference] key;
- Press PEAK key;
- Press [Next peak] key. By this time, marker's "
reference" is at fundamental harmonic, "difference" is at
second harmonic. Read measurement results: frequency
72
offset: 300MHz, amplitude difference: -26.55 dB;
- Press [Next peak] key. By this time, marker's "reference"
is at fundamental harmonic, "difference" is at third
harmonic. Read measurement results: frequency offset:
601.333334GHz, amplitude difference: -38.00 dB.
3. Read measurement results
Fundamental harmonic and harmonic map output from
spectrum analyzer are shown as Figure 4-13:
