generate no operation. If two frequency markers already
exist (if in [Frequency marker difference] mode), [Frequency
marker] will get active frequency markers be new signal
frequency marker. Information about amplitude and
frequency (it is time information when span is 0Hz)
can be obtained from frequency marker, and such
information is displayed in active function areas and in
the upper right of screen. You can move active
frequency marker by number keys, stepping keys or knob.
Data about frequency marker is read from current active
track (this track possibly is Trace A or Track B). If both
of tracks have been activated or both of them are in static
mode, data about frequency marker is read from Track A.
3.3.9.2 [Trace 1 2 3 4 5]
It is used to activate frequency markers of traces
during measurement of trace.
3.3.9.3 [Normal]
One of types of marker, common measurement mode,
activate marker, used to measure X (frequency or time) or
Y (amplitude) value of certain point on trace. After
selecting [Normal frequency marker], marker identified by
52
current marker number appears on the trace, such as "1".
Notes:
If there is no active marker, one marker at center frequency
of current trace is activated. Move marker's position by
inputting numbers through direction keys and number keys.
Reading of current marker is displayed in the upper right
of screen.
Resolutions of X-axis (frequency or time) readings are
related with span and sweep point. Increasesweep points
or decrease span for higher reading resolution.
3.3.9.4 [Difference]
One of types of marker, used to measure the difference
between "reference point" and "certain point on trace":
X (frequency or time) or Y (amplitude) value. After
selecting [Frequency marker difference], a pair of markers
appears on the trace: reference marker and difference
marker, the difference of amplitude and frequency between
tow frequency markers are displayed in active area and in
the upper right of display area. If single frequency marker
already exists, [Difference of frequency marker] will
place a static frequency marker and an active frequency
marker to original position and single frequency marker
