occur during measurement, and measured result is no real.
Spectrum analyzer's input attenuator is associated with
reference level, and it is able to automatically make
adjustment to avoid compression of input signal. If
attenuation is 0dB, min. reference level in logarithmic
scale is -80dBm.
3.3.3.2 [Attenuator Auto Manual]
When attenuator is in manual mode, set RF front-end
attenuator, so as to make big signal go through mixer with
low distortion (small signal with low noise). It is only
effective in internal mixing mode, used to adjust spectrum
analyzer's input attenuator. In auto mode, input attenuator
is associated with reference level.
Notes:
When open pre-amplifier, input attenuation can be
maximally set as 39dB. If set parameter can't be satisfied,
it can be guaranteed by adjusting reference level.
When reference level changes, attenuation can
automatically make adjustment; but the change of
attenuation will not affect reference level.

revise this parameter.
The purpose of adjustment of attenuator is to make max.
signal amplitude of input mixer lower than or equal to
-10dBm. For example, if reference level is +12dBm,
attenuation is 22dB, so input level of mixer is -18dBm
(12-22-8= 18), the ultimate purpose is to prevent
compression of signal. Set attenuator in manual mode by
[Attenuator Auto Manual] to manually adjust attenuator.
Bright line under Auto or Manual indicates that attenuator
is in auto coupling mode or manual mode. If
attenuator is in manual mode, press [Attenuator Auto
Manual] to get attenuator associated with reference level
again.

Warning
Max. signal amplitude of input attenuator (attenuation
shall be at least 10dB) is +30dBm, signal with larger
power may damage input attenuator or mixer.

coupling" state; if power input by user is less than
