Possible cause:
The Hill Start Control (
was activated by the rider.

The transmission sensor has not
been completely trained.
Engage idle position N and al-
low the engine to run for at
least 10 seconds while parked
to train the idle position.
Shift all gears with clutch con-
trol and drive for at least 10
seconds in each engaged gear.
The gear indicator stops flash-
ing when the transmission
sensor has been successfully
trained.
Once the transmission sensor
is fully trained, the Gear Shift
Assistant Pro functions as de-
scribed (
164).
If the training procedure is
unsuccessful, have the fault
corrected at a specialist work-
shop, preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
Hazard warning lights
