The number of subsequent starts
with Launch Control is limited for
clutch protection. The number
of starts still possible is shown
in the display, e.g. L-Con: 3
starts still available.
Using Launch Control
CAUTION
Launch Control allows max-
imum acceleration, which
could cause unfamiliar rid-
ing situations.
Risk of injury due to increased
acceleration.
Only use Launch Control on
race tracks.
Bring motorcycle in start posi-
tion.
Vehicle is standing, engine is
running.
Hold down the starter button 1
until the display shows the
number of starts with Launch
Control that are still possible.
If no more starts are possi-
ble, L-Con not available.
Clutch too hot. is dis-
played.
Let the clutch cool down.
Cooling phase of the
clutch
Approx. 3 min (with the en-
gine running)
Approx. 20 min (with the en-
gine stopped)
Perform start as usual, open
throttle grip at least to such
an extent that speed limiting is
reached.
Open throttle grip completely
after clutch engagement.
Shiftpoint light lights up or
flashes.
The Launch Control controls
the ideal torque on the rear
wheel and keeps the engine
speed constant up to the
speed specified below.
Leave throttle grip completely
open.
Speed for deactivation of
the engine speed limita-
tion for Launch Control
Approx. 43 mph (Approx.
70 km/h)
Due to the full-throttle position
of the throttle grip, the engine
speed increases, as soon as
speed limiting is deactivated.
