Do not ride on public roads
without a number plate
carrier.
Park motorcycle on a level, firm
surface.
with passenger package
Remove passenger seat
( 72).
Remove the hump cover
( 72).
Remove the screws 1 and 2.
Carefully unclip the tail cowling
on the left and right in the ar-
row direction.

Carefully unclip the tail cowl-
ing 1 on the left and right, first
horizontally2, then vertically 3.
Remove the cable tie 1.
Disconnect the connector for
the license plate light 2 and
left-hand turn signal 3.
NOTICE
If the license plate carrier is re-
moved for racetrack use, the
vehicle's electronic monitoring
system will interpret this as a de-
fective light or light source and
the corresponding warning mes-
sage will appear in the display.
This warning is suppressed by
deactivating the Light warn-
ings function in the RACETRACK
CONFIGURATION menu.
