SECTION 11—RETROFITTING A SEATING SYSTEM

Removing the Existing Seat Frame Mounting Hardware

TDX Wheelchairs
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 11.7.
1. Remove the two hex screws, flat washers and strap nut that secure the seat-to-floor
mounting plate to the battery box.
2. Medium and High Seat-To-Floor Only - Remove the two hex screws that secure the
seat-to-floor mounting plate to the front upper seat bracket (Detail "B").
3. Remove the seat-to-floor mounting plate.
4. Repeat STEPS 2-3 for the remaining seat-to-floor mounting plate.
5. Remove the four hex screws that secure the front lower seat brackets and front upper
seat brackets to the support beam tube.
6. Remove the front upper seat brackets and front lower seat brackets.
7. Install the seat mounting hardware. Refer to Installing New Seat Mounting Hardware
on TDX on page 45.
