The Toro Electronic Controller (TEC) monitors the operation of the key switch.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting units, set the parking
brake, and shut off the engine. Remove the key from the key switch.
2. Before you disconnect the key switch for testing, ensure that you test the
switch and its circuit wiring as a TEC electrical input with the InfoCenter
display; refer to
Using the InfoCenter Display for Troubleshooting (page
7–28).
3. If the input testing verifies that the key switch and circuit wiring are functioning
correctly, no further key switch testing is necessary.
4. If the input testing determines that the key switch and circuit wiring are not
functioning correctly, proceed with the following key switch testing procedure.
