• Show information about the PoE power measurement such as the voltage, current, and
power.
• Configure power detection.
• Assign the priority for power allocation on the port.
• Show information about the PoE power status.
• Configure the main power usage threshold to protect against power overload situations.
Module level
You can use CLI, ACLI, or Device Manager to remotely manage the PoE power supplied to
the modules.
You can perform the following tasks at the module level:
• Enable or disable power administration on the 8348TX-PWR or 8348GTX-PWR
module.
• Assign the priority for power allocation on the 8348TX-PWR or 8348GTX-PWR module.
• Change the PoE module default PoE power allocation of 200 watts for each module to a
maximum of 800 watts for each module (depends on available system PoE power
allocation) (See
• Show information about the power consumption threshold.
• Show PoE module information such as the presence and activation status of a backup
PSE.
Chassis level
You can use CLI, ACLI, or Device Manager to monitor and collect run-time power supply and
PoE power status at the system level, including the following information:
• Show PoE power information, including total PoE power from all power supplies.
• Show total available PoE power.
• Show total allocated PoE power.
• Show total backup PoE power.
