Check distributor contacts and ignition timing (See pages 70 and 172).

These lamps have a double filament pre-focus 6 volt 30124 w a t t Lucas No. 312 bulb.

These lamps have a double filament pre-focus 6 volt 35/35 w a t t Lucas No. 403 bulb.

These lamps have a double filament pre-focus 6 volt 36/36 w a t t bulb (yellow) w i t h a
three point connection t o the lamp.
Basically the above lamps are identical, the difference occurring only w i t h the method
of attachment of the bulb i n the French type headlamp and i n the power of the bulbs.

These lamps are fitted w i t h a double filament 6 volt 30130 w a t t Lucas bulb ( N o t
Pre-focused) and
a
pilot bulb 6 volt 3 watt.
R E P L A C I N G T H E H E A D L A M P B U L B

T o gain access t o the t,eadiamp bulb, slacken the front r i m re-
tzining screw situated
2 t
the top of the lamp f i x ~ n g ring.
Disengage and withdraw
the f r o n t r i m and light unit assembly, remavin2 the upper edge first. W i t h the
exception of the French headiarnp, press the moulded adaptor inwards and t u r n i t
t o the left.
Lift off the adaptor and withdraw the defective bulb. W h e n inserting
a replacement bulb, locate the slot in the bulb flange w i t h the projection i n the bulb
holder. Re-fit the adaptor, engaging
i t s
moulded recesses w i t h ccrresponding
projections o n the bulb holder. Press inwards and secure by turning the adaptor
t o t h e right.
