R E M O V I N G T H E F O R K F R O M T H E F R A M E
T h e following refers t o all models w i t h the exception of t h e
TR5.
For this model
t h e operator should disconnect the lighting plug at the headlamp, remove t h e head-
lamp, handlebars and steering damper knob and proceed f r o m "Stanchion Cap Nuts".
First remove the front wheel, mudguard, headlamp assembly and nacelle t o p u n i t as
described o n pages 109,
174 and 177, and proceed
as
follows.
H a n d l e b a r .
Detach control levers and loosen the twistgrip retaining screw.
Unscrew four nuts from the handlebar retaining "U" bolts.
Slide t h e handlebar
o u t of t h e twistgrip sleeve and through the rubber grommets.
S t a n c h i o n C a p Nuts.
Using a ring spanner t o avoid damage t o the n u t heads,
unscrew t h e t w o large stanchion cap nuts.
