Tuba
A u s m b l y . Fit t h e felt washers l n t o the
nacelle coven and slide the stanchions through the fork crown lug into the tapers
o f the t o p lug. Llghtly tighten the fork crown pinch bolts.
Pressure T u b a Assembly.
Insert the assembly into the stanchlon. In the
pressure tube body a dowel is fined, which must locate i n the dowel hole in the
bottom cover tube. When it Is located,

the bottom cover tube into the pressure tube assembly and
lock tight.

Lubrication. Push the bottom cover tube lnto the upper cover and pwJr 100
C.C.

part the springs and into the top of each stanchlon.
Cap N u t
Force the bottom cover tubes down and screw the cap nut i n t o the
stanchion, ensuring that it is well tightened. If this'precaution i s not taken, the
stanchlon w i l l n o t be drawn into the top lug and excessive strain will be put on
the crown and stem.
F o r k C r o w n Pinch Bolts. Tighten up the pinch bolts. (See Fig.
41
and t e x t
describing fork alignment).
Handlebars. Fit the handlebars t o the top lug and connect the horn together
w i t h all controls and cables.
N a c e l l e T o p U n i t
Replace the top unit and connect all wires, speedometer
cables, etc., as described on page
177.
S t e e r i n g D a m p e r Knob. Replace the damper knob, making sure that the steel
thrust washer is i n position.
M a a d l a m p Assembly. Replace as described on page
177.
Mudguard. Replace t o the fork and secure all fastenings.
F r o n t

Replace the front wheel (See page
114).
