This projector uses a high-pressure mercury lamp as a light source. Mercury is used inside, which is in a
liquid state at normal temperature, and in a gasified state when the lamp is lit.
The gasified mercury returns to a liquid state when the lamp is turned off. At that time, there are very rare
cases where the liquefied mercury adheres between the electrodes, which may cause short-circuit
between the electrodes. This phenomenon is called "mercury bridge". (See figure below)
