Continue to turn cap ; anticlockwise and
remove it.
If the coolant is between the MIN and MAX
markings when cold, there is a sufficient
amount of coolant in coolant expansion
tank :.
If the coolant is around 1.5 cm over the MAX
marking when the coolant is warm, there is a
sufficient amount of coolant in coolant expan-
sion tank :.

If necessary, refill with a coolant that has been
recommended and approved by Mercedes-
Benz.

Replace cap ; and turn it clockwise as far as
it will go.

Close the bonnet (

Windscreen washer system

WARNING
If the ECO start/stop function is activated,
the engine can be started unintentionally, e.g.
by accidentally depressing the clutch pedal. If
work is being carried out on the engine under
these circumstances, there is a risk of injury
from moving engine parts.
Deactivate the ECO start/stop function
before work is carried out on the engine.

WARNING
If windscreen washer concentrate comes into
contact with hot components of the engine or
the exhaust system, it can ignite. There is a
risk of fire and injury.
Make sure the windscreen washer concen-
trate does not come into contact with the filler
neck.

WARNING
Certain components in the engine compart-
ment could be very hot, e.g. the engine, the
radiator and parts of the exhaust system.
There is a risk of injury when accessing the
engine compartment.

As far as possible, allow the engine to cool
down and only touch the components descri-
bed in the following.

Open the bonnet (

Pull cap : upwards at the tab.

Top up with the premixed washer fluid.

Press cap : onto the filler neck until it
engages.

Service
Service messages
A service that is due is displayed in the ASSYST
service interval display about a month or 3,000
km in advance. A message is then displayed
while the vehicle is in motion or when the igni-
tion is switched on.
Information on the type of service and service
intervals (see the separate Maintenance Book-
let).
You can obtain further information from a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
The ASSYST service interval display does

not show any information on the engine oil
level. Observe the notes on the engine oil level

The multifunction display shows a service mes-
