6-31 Main Board and LIU Board
1. Remove the two screws and take out the board
cover.

2. Unplug all the connectors from the two boards.

Note: Be careful the bracket under the Main board
is not bent when you unplug or re-plug the
connectors. Toner sensor might be out of
place by the malformed bracket.
3. Remove the two screws from the LIU board, and
unplug the flat cable from the Main board, and
take out the LIU board.

4. Remove the two screws from the Main board
and take out the Main board.
IP Board

Notes:
¥ When you replace the Main board, if you find IP
board next to the Main board, remove the one
screw securing the IP board and take out the IP
board.
You do not have to install this IP board, because
new Main board contains the IP board features.
¥ After you replace the Main board, you must
perform the Make shading test. For details, see
page 7.3.
¥ When you reassemble the boards, make sure they
are properly fitted into their places as shown.
