Configuring a WAN
Initial WAN configuration
— For E1 mode:
channel-group 1 timeslots 1,3-5,7 speed 64
configures time slots numbered 1, 3-5, and 7 to be mapped in channel-group number 1,
and sets the DS0 speed to 64 kbps.
NOTE:
The default DS0 speed is 56 kbps.

Use the
the media module, the port number, the channel group number, and optionally the IP interface
number. For example:
interface Serial 4/1:1
port number 1, with channel group number 1.
interface Serial 5/1:2.3
port number 1, with channel group number 2, and with IP interface number 3.
You do not need to specify an IP interface number for the first serial interface that you define on a
channel group. For each additional serial interface that you define on the channel group, use a
different IP interface number.
NOTE:
If you use the
