Generator Belts

How to Adjust the Generator
Belts
1 Disconnect the battery packs.
Electrocution/burn hazard.
Contact with electrically charged
circuits could result in death or
serious injury. Remove all rings,
watches and other jewelry.
2 Remove the engine pivot plate latch retainer.
3 Open the engine pivot plate latch and swing
the engine out away from the machine to
access the generator belts.
4 Loosen the tension adjustment bolt on the
generator.
5 Pull the generator away from the machine and
tighten the adjustment bolt.

6 Check the generator belts for proper tension. If
the belt deflection is not within specification,
perform steps 4 and 5 and re-check the belt
tension.
