To monitor with the handset
1 Press

To call another handset (when the system

•Your handset will start to monitor the room through the destination unit and
"Room monitor" will display.
•To monitor from the speaker, press
you cannot place it on the base unit to continue monitoring. Placing the handset on the
base unit will disconnect room monitoring. To switch back to the receiver, press
•"Room monitor" will display on the monitored unit. The DIGITAL
SP-PHONE indicator lights on the monitored base unit.

To end monitoring, press
•The base unit user can stop being monitored by pressing
(LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER) or (DIGITAL!SP-PHONE). The monitored
handset user can stop being monitored by pressing (OFF).
•If the Room Monitor feature of the destination unit is off or the destination handset is
on the base unit, "Denied" will be displayed and busy tones will sound.
To monitor with the base unit

•The LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER indicator
light flashes.
2 To call the handset, enter the extension

• The LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER indicator light goes out.
•The monitored handset user can stop being monitored by pressing (OFF).
•If the Room Monitor feature of the destination handset is off or the handset is on the
