Explanation
-
Assign the media setting bank a name up to 22 half-size characters long.
Using distinctive names makes it easier to select banks for use.
Manual
Use this option if banding (horizontal banding, tint unevenness, or stripes)
persists after head cleaning and head alignment have been performed.
The user visually inspects print results and enters the adjustment value by
hand. U
Adjustment varies with the media being used. Load the media for which
feed adjustment is required under the same conditions as the actual print
job.
1.5
Choose the platen gap (the distance between the print head and the
media).
2.0
The default setting is recommended in most circumstances. Raise the
setting by one level if printout is scratched or smudged. Select 2.5 only if
2.5
print results are still smudged when 2.0 is selected. Choosing a larger gap
than required may result in ink stains inside the printer, reduced print
quality, or shorter product life.
Print
Select Head Alignment to realign the print head when print results seem
grainy or out of focus. When printing in both directions, select
Manual(Bi-D). If the graininess or misalignment is not improved after
performing Manual(Bi-D), try Manual(Dual Head). If there is still no
improvement, perform Manual(Uni-D). When printing in one direction,
select Manual(Dual Head). If the graininess or misalignment is not
improved after performing Manual(Dual Head), perform
Manual(Uni-D).
