Open the front cover and remove the maintenance cover.
Close the front cover.

The print-head carriage moves to the left side of the machine, and
then the screen shown in the figure appears.
Open the front cover.
Preparations are complete when this screen appears.
Touch the location shown in the figure to discharge any
static electricity.
