Anti-static Treatment

Many parts of the microscope have anti-static finishes, which are very useful when observing
electrostatically sensitive specimens. The anti-static parts include: the LV100DA-U, the LV-
UEPI2A epi illuminator, the LV-TT2 eyepiece tube, the L-W 10x eyepieces, the 3x2 stage, the ESD
plate, the motorized universal quintuple nosepiece, and the objectives. The ground connection can
be taken through the 3-conductor power cord of the microscope. However, if the power of the
microscope is not used at all, for example an external light sources used instead, the ground
connection can be taken by connecting the grounding line to the grounding tap at the rear of the
microscope.
