2. Verify that the top green GBIC LEDs illuminate on all ports where
GBIC Modules are installed.

3. Verify that the bottom amber Bypass Port LEDs illuminate on all
connected ports that are not participating on the loop. For example, Port
2 in the figure below is not participating in the loop. Ports that do not
detect valid FC-AL links will be bypassed automatically. To be a valid
link, both ends of the cable must be connected to active, powered, FC-
AL devices.
