Chapter Introduction Description The Compaq StorageWorks PCI-to-Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA) for IBM AIX shown in Figure 1-1 provides high-speed Fibre Channel connectivity. The HBA is compatible with Fibre Channel hubs, storage subsystems, and tape drives. The HBA supports the SCSI Fibre Channel Protocol, Fibre Channel Switched Fabric connectivity, and provides point-to-point Fibre Channel arbitrated loop connectivity.
