Troubleshooting

If the Communication System does not function correctly, check the following.
Symptom
The power is not
turned on.
The Remote
Commander does
not operate.
No sound or the
volume is very low.
Picture is blurred.

Troubleshooting
Cause
The power switch is not set to on.
The batteries in the Remote
Commander are low or dead.
It is isolated from the
communication system.
Pairing with the Remote
Commander fails.
The volume of the system is too
low.
The volume of the TV monitor is
too low.
The microphone on the remote
party is turned off.
Audio input is not selected
properly.
The microphone or external
equipment is not connected
correctly.
Manual focus is selected but picture
remains blurred.
When auto focus is selected, the
background is too bright, contrast is
too high, or the background or the
participants' clothes contain fine
line patterns.
Solution
Press the power switch to turn on the
power of the system (page 46).
Replace the batteries with new ones
(page 42).
Perform pairing of the Remote
Commander with the Camera (page
43).
Perform pairing of the Remote
Commander with the System or
Camera Unit (page 43).
Adjust the sound volume by pressing
the VOLUME +/– buttons on the
Remote Commander (page 50).
Adjust the volume of the TV monitor.
Ask the remote party to turn on the
microphone.
• Set up "Input Select (MIC)" on the
Basic Setup1 page of the Audio
setup menu properly (page 77).
• Set up "Audio Input" properly on
the Basic Setup1 page of the Audio
setup menu (page 77).
Check the connection (pages 176, 179
and 185).
Adjust the focus (page 152).
Select manual focus and adjust
manually (page 152).
