CRANKSHAFT

INSTALLATION

1. Apply:
S Molybdenum disulfide grease
(onto threads of bolts and nut seats)
S Engine oil
(onto crank pins and inner surfaces of connect-
ing rod bearings)
2. Install:
S Connecting rod bearings 1
S Connecting rods 2
S Connecting rod caps 3
(onto crank pins)
NOTE:
S Align the projection of bearing with the groove of
the caps and connecting rod.
S Make sure to reinstall each connecting rod bear-
ing in its original place.
S The stamped "Y" mark a on the connecting rods
should face towards the left of the crankshaft.
S Be sure that the letter b on both components
align to form a perfect character.
3. Align:
S Bolt head
(with connecting rod cap)
4. Tighten:
S Connecting rod nuts
CAUTION:
When you reach 3.5 Nm (3.5 mSkg), keep tight-
ening until the final torque is obtained. Apply
continuous torque until the specified torque is
obtained.

48 Nm (4.8 mSkg)
