Disconnect the parts in the order below.
Refer to "COWLINGS, SEAT, TAIL COV-
ER AND FUEL TANK" in CHAPTER 3.

S Disconnect the negative lead first and
then disconnect the positive lead.
S Immediately after removing the battery
leads, securely cover the terminals with
the covers
leads from being shorted
