REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
HANDLING NOTES
WARNING
This shock absorber contains highly com-
pressed nitrogen gas. Rear and understand
the following information before handling the
shock absorber. The manufacturer cannot be
held responsible for property damage or per-
sonal injury that may result from improper
handling.
1. Do not tamper or attempt to open the cylin-
der assembly.
2. Do not subject shock absorber to an open
flame or other high heat. This may cause
the unit to explode due to excessive gas
pressure.
3. Do not deform or damage the cylinder in
any way. Cylinder damage will result in poor
damping performance.
NOTES ON DISPOSAL
Shock absorber disposal steps:
S Gas pressure must be released before disposing
of the shock absorber. To do so, drill a 2 X 3 mm
hole through the cylinder wall at a point 15 X 20
mm a from the end of the gas chamber.
WARNING
Wear eye protection to prevent eyes damage
from escaping gas and/or metal chips.
