The lift seat is not intended for continuous use,
but only for short-term limited operation (10 %
use, 90 % idle time). For every 1 hour of op-
eration, the lift seat function can be used for a
maximum of 6 minutes.
The B500-S can be equipped with an optional lift seat.
With the lift seat function, the seat can be raised by up
to 40 cm using a motor (Figure 23). It is controlled by the
joystick in "additional function" mode.
The drive function remains available even when the lift
seat is raised. As soon as the lift seat leaves the lowest
position, the speed is reduced (creep speed) because
the power wheelchair is less tip-resistant. This is indi-
cated by a snail symbol on the control panel or the
optional, separate LCD monitor (Figure 24).
