3.13 RECORD BANK

The record bank key is used with the record track ready keys. The record Bank key and record ready
keys may have 3 different functions as assigned by Root | Unit | Record | Menu 07: Track Arm Keys
as follows:-
0= System Ready
The record keys can address any machine in the system and may be individually programmed. The
system bank length is set in the unit menu.
1= Machine Ready
The record keys are assigned to the current selected machine, the ready keys may not be
programmed.
2= Record Machine Ready
The record keys may be assigned to any machine in the system but may not be individually
programmed.
The current record bank is displayed in the middle of the lower display unless auto-record or rehearse
are enabled.

3.14 PLAY
The Play key's function changes dependant on the transport mode as follows:-
Locating The Play key will enable (Play LED flashing) / disable (Play LED OFF) the delayed play
function.
Playing
The Play key will issue a Record Off command
Record
The Play key will issue a Record Off command
Shift followed by Play will always issue a play command.
3.15 ID << and ID >>
The function of the ID keys depends on the units current mode as follows:-
1) Auto Edit, Rehearse loop modes
Used to step between Previous and Next Loop.
2) DAT Machine
Locate previous or next ID.
3) Slow-motion macro key is active.
Decrease/Increase the current programable play speed.
4) MR system with Giant Display interface
Increase/Decrease Display Brightness simultaneous depression of both keys will turn off/on

3.16 RM-6/Video Slave [CMD] (originally [Number])

This key is found on the RM-6 and Video Slave Only.
On the RM-6 and Video slave the Number keys double as command keys, The function of these keys
is modified by the Shift, Store, Recall, and Setup keys.
The [CMD] key is used to access the transport commands, it operates as a sticky key and will reset
either when the next key is depressed or after a timeout. To Latch the [CMD] key on use shift followed
by [CMD]
On earley versions of the RM-6 software (before August 2003) this key is labelled and operated as a
[Number] key, when the LED is illuminated the numeric keys are accessed.

3.17 RM-6/Video Slave [Offset]

On the RM-6 and Video Slave separate [Offset] and [Chase] Keys are fitted instead of the combined
Chase/Offset key.
