The table to the right describes some
of the situations you may experience
with the built-in ATSC tuner, and
what to do to resolve these situations.

If ...
You hear of a new channel and
wish to find it ...
When you choose a channel
number, the screen is black ...
When you choose a channel
number, the information display
shows "NO SIGNAL" ...
When you choose a channel
number, the information display
shows "SEARCHING" ...
You have forgotten your code for
access control ...
You want to restrict the access to
certain contents, (ACCESS
CONTROL) ...
Then ...
Check for information from the programme provider and make a
channel search.
Bring up the ATSC main menu>CHANNEL>AUTO SCAN.
When you scan in channels, the current channel list and
favourite list will be lost
The programme provider has probably moved the channel.
Check for information from the programme provider and make
an automatic channel search.
Bring up the ATSC main menu>CHANNEL>AUTO SCAN.
It could be that you have selected a channel that does not
broadcast around the clock. When no programme is broadcast,
the information display will show 'NO SIGNAL".
You have selected a channel where a signal is present, but the
channel is not in the list, and the ATSC tuner is searching for a
channel to match the signal.
Bring up the ATSC main menu>V-CHIP and enter '9999' (for
further information see page 56).
Bring up the ATSC main menu>V-CHIP.
Make your settings for access control as described in the menu.
In the channels lists you are asked for the V-Chip pincode when
you try to access channels that are 'locked' (for further
information, see page 56).
