conjunction with an AV socket – or a digital audio

SPDIF (AV 1 – AV 3, AV 5)
Digital audio input socket for connection of
external equipment.
TTL
Only for use in Hotel setups.
RS232
Only for use in Hotel setups.
PUC 1+2
For connection of external IR transmitter used in
connection with Home cinema setups.
IR IN
For connection of an extra IR-receiver when the
television is set up with a projector – enabling
remote control operation of the television if the
television's own receiver is concealed.
STAND
For connection of a motorised stand.
MASTER LINK
Socket for connection of a compatible Bang &
Olufsen audio or video system. The socket is also
used for BeoLink distribution of sound throughout
the house.
DTV DATA
For future use.
CINEMA CONTROL
For connection of a Home Automation system.
VGA
Socket for connection of a High Definition video
source or a PC. Supported formats are VGA, 60 Hz,
640 × 480, 848 × 480, 1024 × 576, 800 × 600,
1024 × 768, 1366 × 768 and 1280 × 720.
ANT 1
Aerial input socket from your external aerial or
cable TV network.
ANT 2
Aerial input socket for your ATSC tuner.
LINK TV OUT
Aerial output socket for distribution of video signals
to other rooms.
CENTRE 1
For connection of a centre speaker such as
BeoLab 7. For further information about
connecting speakers, refer to the speaker's own
Guide.
POWER LINK 1–6
These sockets are used for connecting the external
speakers in a surround sound setup.
1(SUB)
Socket used for connecting up to two Bang &
Olufsen subwoofers. A cable splitter for such
connections is available from your Bang & Olufsen
retailer.

Connection to the mains.
There are some restrictions as to the types of
equipment that can be connected to the socket
groups. These restrictions are described below.
– Video recorders can only be connected to the
AV1 or AV2 socket groups, as these are the only
socket groups for video output. Connect your
primary recorder to the AV1 socket group, and
the secondary recorder to the AV2 socket group.
– Equipment with VGA output can only be
connected and registered to the AV5 or AV6
socket groups.
