Preset TV Parental guidelines
If you choose to apply the system of TV
parental guidelines, you can select one
common restriction level for all categories or
preset the restriction level for the individual
categories.
When, for example, TV is switched on ...
> Press MENU to call up the main menu.
> Press to highlight OPTIONS and press GO to
bring up the menu.
> Press to highlight PARENTAL CONTROL and
press GO to bring up the menu.
> Press GO to bring up the
TV PARENTAL GUIDELINES menu.
> Use the number buttons on Beo4 to enter the
access code. If you have not yet preset your
own code, enter the default code (0000).
> Press or to adjust the setting OVERALL.
This automatically adjusts the different
categories to one common restriction setting.
Options are: TV-Y, TV-Y7, TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14,
TV-MA, and N/A.
Preset the MPAA rating
You can choose to apply the MPAA rating
system as parental control. Select and store
the restriction level that you want to impose.
When, for example, TV is switched on ...
> Press MENU to bring up the main menu.
> Press to highlight OPTIONS and press GO to
bring up the menu.
> Press to highlight PARENTAL CONTROL and
press GO to bring up the menu.
> Press to highlight MPAA RATING and press
GO to bring up the menu.
> Enter the access code using the number buttons
on Beo4. If you have not yet entered your own
code, enter the default code 0000.
> Press or to adjust the setting RATING. This
automatically adjusts the restriction setting.
Options are: G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, X, NOT
RATED, N/A, and OFF.
> Press GO to store the setting.
> Press EXIT or a source button, such as TV, to
exit on-screen menus.
When parental control is active ...
When a blocked programme or channel is
selected, the screen goes blank, the sound is
shut off, and the access code must be
entered. All the programmes and channels
then become available, and parental control
is switched off until you switch the television
to standby.
TV is switched on and a blocked
channel is selected ...
Enter your access code
The selected channel is now
available, as are all other blocked
channels
If you do not know the code or
you wish to view another
channel, press or to change
channels
If an incorrect access code is
entered three times, the
television automatically switches
to standby.
